desktop wallpaper

Sometimes I feel the need to create a new desktop wallpaper. I've never made one before and while this one is ridiculously simple and yet still took me about an hour because my PS skills are rusty...I like it. Leaves room for a lot of creativity especially during the holidays.

Name ideas?

chip & kelly get married.

My brother got married this summer and I did their invitations as a gift/project. They were married outside in a park but their reception was at Atlantis, an aquarium in Riverhead, Long Island. It was a really unique experience, not having been there before for an event these invitations were created not knowing what the decor looked like inside but I think they worked well.

Finally, it's done and I got the right file to Julie for her poster, wow I never thought I would have such a hard time finding the right version of the right file. I guess that's what happens with you name all your related files with not so detailed titles.

Update 1: I saw the printed poster at Globe Market on Elmwood and it was surreal, I think because it was next to all the other posters. I was like, 'I did that!' I wonder if anyone even noticed it?

Update 2: Saw the show on Sunday, Dec. 14th with Heather and it was so fun! So playful with such an underlying message. Very entertaining I thought and how cool my friends made the whole thing! I'm so happy to have been able to make something for them.

design sketch

This drawing is going to be a part of a play poster design for my friend Julie and Megan's play "Dreaming Out of Digital" at Alt Theatre here in Buffalo. I was thrilled that Julie asked me to design it for her and had a lot of fun with this drawing, it just seemed to come together really easily. The finished poster will have a lot of type so that is my major challenge. When it's done I'll post it with all the info, go see the play if you can!

design

My friend Ivan works at Buffalo State College in the Theater Department and he asked me to make him a flyer for his new play. So, I did. I don't think it's that great, I would definitely change some things but it was just a flyer so hopefully it caught some people's eyes.
I didn't get to see the play but I read it to get a feel for the themes and it was great.
